My mom's on deviantART. :o

Mon Apr 10, 2006, 11:48 AM
I set my mom up with a deviantART account a couple days ago. She's a spinner, she dyes and spins yarn. It's some pretty cool stuff. :D

Her name is YarnWench, please check out her gallery! :)

Featured Deviation

I want to know your opinions on this: What should I put as my Featured Deviation?

Under Lights, Breezy, Twinkle, Crimson, Twisted, or Foggy Night?

Right now I'm sort of leaning towards Crimson, but most people seem to like Foggy Night and Under Lights the best, so I'd like some outside opinions. :D

Dear Mariah...

Dear Mariah was one of my deviations that I spent the most time on and I really liked, but, unfortunately, I made it quite a while ago and I've learned so much more since then. I've updated it a little, if anyone cares to check it out: [link].

Also, I've made two pretty cool variations of it, which I've put in the scraps: [link].

Please check them out, and thanks! :D

Devious Journal Entry

Sat Aug 20, 2005, 12:17 PM
Well, I've finally decided to use my deviantART account that I got so long ago. :XD:

A little about me:

I got my tablet in March of this year, so I only have about 4 months of experience with it. But, considering the first thing I ever drew on it looked like this: [link], I'm pretty happy with my improvements so far. :XD:

I've been working with Photoshop for over a year and a half, and the prior experience with that helped a lot when I started drawing.

I currently specialize in drawing giraffes and humans, although I'm definitely trying to broaden my horizons.

I've never taken any art classes, ie. I've taught myself all I know. I have, however, gotten some wonderful advice from the many talented artists at LiveJournal community, re_image.

Expect to see plenty of drawings, but also some Photoshops/Wallpapers and photography here and there!
